Monsanto, DuPont Rival Syngenta Reports Profits Up 17%

Largest Global Maker of Agrochemicals Raises Dividend 19%

    Good Morning, Bonjour, Guten Tag,

Readers, DuPont's pompous and posturing bosses are always bragging about their crown jewel, DuPont AG and DuPont NUT. Why their cosmic mission, they boast, is feeding the planet's 9 billion people by the year 2050.

Trouble is DuPont's competitors are doing are a much better job jousting in the agricultural arena. Superior-managed Monsanto is an undeniable first in seeds. Syngenta is the world's largest and leading maker of farm chemicals, and third largest producer of seeds.

This morning, Feb. 6, 2013, Basel-based Syngenta reported its net profits for the year rose 17% on a sales increase of 7%. Syngenta raised its dividend 19%, continuing to enrich SYT shareholders with stock appreciation as well as with dividend payouts.

As Syngenta CEO, Mike Mack, says, Syngenta "is beginning the new year with confidence" and will be making new acquisitions. Contrast that positive outlook, with the gloomy prospects of $billions in payouts by DuPont to settle thousands of Imprelis lawsuits and the potential $1 to $3 billion Monsanto patent infringement jury award to Monsanto. DuPont's two milestone ag "Innovations" in the past couple of years:

Failed DuPont OptimumGAT seed trait and,

Consumer Product Fraud DuPont Imprelis, which has turned hundreds of thousands of evergreens to everbrowns across a broad swath of the nation.

Merely the morning comments of one individual investor and long-time student of the shrinking, sinking
