On July 27, AM was as low as $12.53. As of around 2 p.m. today, less than a month and a half later, it was selling for $15.55 -- an impressive surge of more than $3 that seems to have been made largely under the radar. Still trying to put a handle on the main reason/seasons for the gain. Couldn't be all from stock buyback, could it?
I don't think someone would be so dumb to get caught now on insider trades (Weiss Family) but the potential for previous manipulation by someone of stock price could of been in the cards for the last few Q's to make the PPS low enough to make such a low ball offer. Not saying it happened just speculating on my part.
I talked to my broker and he said the same, hold till next offer to off-set litigation in the low $20's then I'll sell off instead of waiting.
The family may come back and use a ploy as withdrawing the offer to try to off set the furor and news around it also, something that is common in offers IMO.
