New quarter begins today and MCZ's year ended yesterday. Good luck to all.
I'm again thinking there is a window here for a buyout during the next two weeks, if the year end numbers are satisfactory to "someone". I don't think Darren wants to continue sailing this ship. Hand it over...
I don't think two weeks would be sufficient time to get the price up to a point where the votes of holders of 51% of the shares could be obtained. Certainly if the suspected buyer were another public company, they can't offer a premium of more than 30-35% and have THEIR shareholders be happy. Darren himself would come out OK in a buyout at this level, but he doesn't own or control anywhere near a majority of the outstanding.
Do you have some kind of rough headcount of how many shares are held at a level where 51% could make money, or were you figuring on some private angel of mercy to come along and offer a price that a publicly-traded buyer would not be able to sell to its shareholders? You need to have one or the other, or your "someone" can't exist.
