Jtownzu, there are much bigger fish to fry in the market and believe me, the SEC won't be frying them(hedge fund manipulation, insider trading). The market is too big and offers too many "covers" for the SEC to catch most people. It is like murder in the united states; a very serious crime, but it happens all the time, in every state, and less than 25% of murderers are caught and convicted.
We are on our own. The faster you accept and understand this, the more effort you will put in to making sure you know the numbers of your investment cold, why you like the stock at that price, where you think it is going, making sure you can withstand the shenanigans ulled by the "markets", and then sell when appropriate.
