    all i can say is uggs didn't need to put items on sale

    while most retailers have discounts from 30 to 60 percents, there was no on sale signs at their stores. they didn't have to...that tells you something.

    • Not only did they not discount but several stores told me they were very hot sellers and I was only talking about the boots till I went to buy the earmuffs. I found three pairs and wanted to buy the wired muffs to hook to the smart phone to play music for my daughter. They told me they came in three colors, the store I got them at had one pair left and I bought them. They told me they were the hottest sellers in that department so UGGs products are not just in the shoe department. I think things are really looking up for DECK.

      • Ibyrite: Thanks for the post about earmuffs as an example of strong non-footwear sales. It motivated me to check sales for various accessories such as handbags and other leather goods (and other earmuff models), and I was amazed by how many items have sold out or are nearly sold out. This is indeed a major revenue stream now -- partly because these items have hefty prices and, I suspect, very healthy margins.

        As always, I wish more people would post whatever they are able to learn about sales of any and all Deckers products.
