I have more confidence in the company's ability to know the on-the-ground situation in Australia than me here in Seattle. And they now project production to begin the 4th quarter of next year (2012)--years before major HREE competitors outside of China.
A couple of points. The Uranium issue has been raised previously. From what I remember reading, the NSW government has recently shifted in power over to the Conservative side. They are expected to repeal the ban on Uranium much as the WA provincial government did. As to the mine producing in 2012, I believe they will be producing zirconium and niobium initially. REE concentration and extraction would take longer.
Play your didgeridoo, Blue Play your didgeridoo Ah, like, keep playin' 'til I shoot thru, Blue Play your didgeridoo Altogether now:
"In New South Wales prospecting and mining of uranium is prohibited under Uranium Mining and Nuclear Facilities (Prohibitions) Act 1986 (NSW), however uranium can be mined in the course of mining for another mineral."
