I have no position in this equity currently but an very interested based on the profit margins, etc. Looking at the charts below 65 would seem to be a great entry point. However, I dont think the divi is very safe based on a cut already this year. The growth after the spill clears could be 30-40% in 1-2 years
In fact, the argument can be made that if the moratorium on new permits is lifted, as expected, the divvy should hold precisely because it was cut recently. I wouldn't think they cut the div. knowing that repeatedly doing so will certainly drive investors away. But that's just my opinion. I think with any kind of medium to long term outlook, this is going to be a very good business, as someone else said, they will not stop oil drilling in deepwater "cause that's where the (big) oil is". Just MHO.
