The more I read on the internet it appears that the FCC will not approve a Sprint-TMUS merger/takeover. This leads me to believe then that Ergin will move in that direction more aggressively. Me thinks.
People like to bring that up a lot, but nobody seems to know anything about what actually happened. The former CEO lost his job because he brought the company to the brink of bankruptcy. Legere assumed the role of CEO in October 2001. The company entered bankruptcy in January 2002. It's fairly obvious that Legere did not CAUSE that, he was hired to help the company work through that process and come out the other side- which he did, by reducing operating expenses by almost half and leading the company to an eventual profitable acquisition.
I'd say it worked out pretty well, and he's largely the reason. Any other questions?
In the world of gambling, any thing can happen. These hard times in the stock mkt just may close the door for S and open the door for DISH to come through. Whether it is S or DISH or ? I think a M or A price will be in the near 40/share. I also think with a merger of TMUS several of the smaller wireless companies will be absorbed. MO......
