One question I have about any BO with either Softbank or DISH is this. If Softbank already agreed to buy TMUS, why is the stock dead. And, I don't see DISH having the ability to finance a BO, let alone Charlie going through with it. I think he would rather WAIT FOR SOMEONE TO BUY HIM, BUT IT WON'T BE VZ, AS THEY SAID THEY ARE INTERESTED. Is there another suitor out there? Someone mentioned Amazon. $40+ billion limits are potential buyers. I think TMUS has some of its stock sold to Softbank with little premium.
It doesn't sound like Sprint is bidding for the T-mobile shares that we can buy on the open market...they are bidding for Deutsche Telecom's majority ownership stake. It's a different thing. This isn't like when AT&T tried to acquire Tmobile. It's very possible that the price of Tmobile shares will sharply decrease after people finally realize this.
T thought it was worth $39/share a few years ago, since then it has acquired a few billion dollars worth of assets; a few million more customer, upgraded it assets, etc. Logic says it should be worth 50 now. JMO though. Just like buying any piece of property, the value can change dramatically from day to day-up and down..
