Did you know that Mingyang's earnings bottomed out in Q4, 2011? In Q1, 2012 the gross margin improved, in Q2, 2012 the gross margin improved again and in Q3, 2012 the gross margin improved further to the extend that the operating margin turned positive and Mingyang recorded black numbers on the bottom line. Usually Q4 is the best quarter for the windturbine manufacturers. For that reason I expect more black numbers on the bottomline in Q4, 2012.
And did you know that Book Value per share increased to $4.79 in Q3, 2012? The last price of $1.51 thus gives the MY-stock a valuation of P/B=0.32.
And did you know that our company, Jackson FamilieInvest, visited Mingyang's headquarters in Zhongshan in March 2012 together with 30 investors from Denmark and Norway? We liked what we saw, and we have since increased our position.
If you have any questions about Mingyang Windpower, I will try to answer them here on the board. You can also send me an email. You can find my email address on the Jackson FamilieInvest homepage.
Its just nice with these decent posts from your side. Its actually amazing how few investors actually do read numbers posted from the companies. MY is looking good. I have held all my stocks since my investment in March 2012. And I am still happy even my loss was at 60 % at one point. I never lost faith in this company since I visited their headquarters and talked to their CFO and had lunch with their COO. These people seemed so reliable and dedicated. Hopefully we are in for a nice ride with MY :-)
Your picture from Tiananmen Square looks very good on your webpage.
I like MY.
If you like, Take a look at KGJI. Insiders have took a recent position at 1.8/share. The company has a book value at 2.87. The company has recently imporved its Agreement with Shanghai Laofengxiang to Process Gold Jewelry Products.
I don't know about that. It's a short term view to analyze stock movements anyway. I guess someone got impatient an bought too many shares too fast, and thus forced the price up. After he finished buying, the price came back down again. Add to that a lot of short term traders all trying to make a buck. I see the moves as a sign of what is to come though.
The news stream has turned from negative to positive. Earnings have bottomed a year ago, and the price seems to have bottomed as well. Also the share count has declined from 125 million til 121.85 million as Mingyang has repurchaed some shares. Also the chairman has purchased a bit more than 2 million shares, so the available shares for the general public has declined somewhat.
Whenever we get some really good news, we are going to see another big move. In 2010 Mingyang earned a bit more that $1 per share. That record could be in jeopardy already in 2013. If that happens and the multiple settles around 10-15 we should see a share price at the IPO level within a year. But much less could make Mingyang a good investment in 2013.
