    You could have sold it at $85 and bought back at $75.
    But perhaps of your $85, maybe you would have had to pay, say, $25, in taxes (depending how long you held it).
    So you would then have $60 to buy it back at $75.
    So you'd be able to buy back less not more.
    Which means that your portfolio income would be reduced.
