Could it be that the legend of Telecom aka Dan Hesse forged a unique arrangement with Apple due to some new key alliances formed recently? And by the way they are yet to be announced
Wow... where to start.
"Dual networks" won't exist. There will be dual-network phones and dual network base-stations. It's kind of like saying a single radio station has both AM and FM stations carried by the same transmitting antenna. Your radio may have both AM & FM, but you won't use them at the same time.
TD-LTE is not "upgradable" to LTE-Advanced... LTE Advanced may be TD-LTE or FDD LTE. Current LTE deployments (Rel. 8 & Rel 9) may also be TD-LTE or FDD LTE.
There's this strange yet insistent message from a lot of posters here and on the CLWR board that "TD-LTE = LTE Advanced". It does not.
Verizon Says LTE-Advanced Is On Its Roadmap
Verizon Wireless has confirmed that it will upgrade to Long Term Evolution-*Advanced*
btw..FDD/TDD LTE dual mode networks are already in the process of being deployed....
Google >[ tdd fdd lte dual mode motorola zte ]
CLWR is going straight to TDD-LTE, which is upgradable to *Advanced*...and working with China Mobile for same...
1.) Sports car to smartphone analogy is horrible. 2.) I don't care how much it's promoted this holiday season, it won't be widely adopted because battery life is still garbage with 4G turned on. 3.) We are still nowhere near quad core cpu's, maybe by next year. 4.) No one does that much gaming on their phones/tablets. Most of the gaming is done in iOS devices anyway, which still don't have 4G capability. At this point, 4G is just a marketing gimmick.
[ VZ has no plans for TD-LTE.]
