I should have known better. This went up too much too fast. Now we're screwed. T-Mobile & PCS are also offering the plans cheaper than Sprint. So where do you think this goes from here? We closed at 4.88, below the magic 5.00 amount, so the institutions won't be buying, and will probably dump because of the other companies announcements.
That's not true that the institutions will not be buying. They will if they think the story adds up right now. They are not going by "magic" 5's. It already just went above 5. That's going to be good enough for a lot of them to decide if they want to buy now. Some expert on institutions correct that if it's wrong.
The best thing about Sprint is Dan Hesse. He is extremely smart and my guess operates about 10 steps ahead of everyone else in this industry. Always follow the power of the company.
Sprint will be just fine with him as the leader. He probably just laughed off the news about PCS and Tmobile. Wouldn't want to pay chess with him, unless I liked loosing.
Sprint can compete with T-Mobile and Metro PCS. If Sprint is to succeed, it will have to compete with everyone, "unlimited" plan or no "unlimited" plan. I am not happy about the recent decline in S, but many positive events have taken place for Sprint in recent weeks.....
Sentiment: Strong Buy
You are forgetting that T-Mobile and PCS do not offer iPhone and that is where the big money is made. SPRINT will move much higher in the coming month, especially after new iPhone 5 announcement.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Yes, I checked T-Mobile & PCS to make sure those on this board were correct, and they don't offer the I-phone. However, who is to say Apple won't all of a sudden add them to their list of carriers? I certainly hope not.
The problem is that people (like me, and holding shares, I should kmow better). just read the headline articles and they sell or change their mind on buying it.
I just bought the Iphone 4S from Virgin. I get 300 minutes which is enough for me since I also have a landline with my home internet. Virgin is owned by Sprint, no contract. Just $30 a month with autopay billing. Long term it was worth shelling out $650 for the phone.
