Can Sprint buy CLWR without raising the current bid of $2.97?

Does Sprint have to match Dish offer of $3.30/share? Or will Sprint be able to go forward with the purchase at $2.97 without any legal implications? I wish Sprint will clarify this situation so that I can make my Sprint investment decision. I want to buy here but if Sprint has to offer a higher bid than DISH's current bid of $3.30, then I can see Sprint trading in $5.20 range. Say something Dan Hesse!

    • This is an interesting situation. Sprint already owns more than half of CLWR, so Sprint could just reject the DISH deal. So why did DISH even bother making a bid? What can DISH gain with a bid that can easily be rejected?

      • S does not have to do any thing w/ CLWR til it closes Softbank deal.
At deal closing we get $7.3 for 55% of S shares from soft bank.

After that S can deal w/ CLWR.Our 45% remaining shares or new S shares will come down from going price of S shares.
I am not worried after that,With $7.3 loot,I will buy more New S shares at lower price.
