Sears charges a few for existing stockholders who want to reinvest their dividends in the company. That is the only reason I have not invested via the direct purchase plan. I am looking for complete growth including dividend.
Try you broker. When Sears and a few other companies started charging for dividend reinvest I said no thanks, requested a stock certificate and deposited it with A. a full service broker or B Waterhouse. They both offer free dividend reinvestment.
does anyone have any idea what the future is for sears stock? it is just dragging me down and i'm about to bail... any words of encouragement? any rays of inspirational sunshine? check out say... modt- up 44% since christmas when i bought it. i'm wondering why i keep waiting for sears to get moving. any news would be appreciated. j
