I am not expect to get huge money from NSU. But I want to get income from this stock. This stock may be less effected by stock market crash. Someone may help me to understand that Is the divided steady with this stock?
They paid and maintained a higher dividend throughout the transition from gold to copper, and have a ton of cash. I think the dividend is safe- if they maintained it while revenue was restricted because of the transition, they will most likely maintain it going forward and maybe even increase it if earnings exceed expectations. Also, they just went from twice a year to quarterly payments, so that is better for investors. Dividend is the same this year as last- $0.14 USD
Do your own due diligence about other factors- their ability to make money depends in part on macroeconomic forces that impact commodity copper prices and their ability to monetize their gold reserves. Long-term, their ability to fully exploit other reserves (e.g., Zinc) and add additional producing properties are important.
Thank you, dishy:
Yes, they paid the dividend in June and December. The dividend was started from 2011, and increased yearly. It showed they have more cash to spend. I am planning to buy more in the future. As you know that this stock was up more than 4% today.
