lewis and brad are on with Maria, FOX B, maria doesnt get it
and lewis and brad are doing a poor job explaining it to her so once again they are talking fractions of pennies being taken from retail investors on a fill hence who cares, etc, pathetic. maria with all those years in the game, she works hard yet, clueless ?
Maria works hard on WHAT? Getting told what colour panties to wear?
(And if you don;t recall the Maria panty indicator for the DOW and S&P, you are either too old, or too willfully clueless for the game.)
Lewis writes much better than he speaks (good editors?) His interview with Charlie Rose was really hard to watch. This issue is important, but it is interesting that people are just now waking up to it. I found a statement today by Charles Schwab particularly amusing; now that the word is out in public, Schwab is suddenly speaking up for the retail investor (as if he didn't know or understand HFT previously). The issue still must be taken in context; Wall Street has been fleecing retail for as long as there has been a "Wall Street"; only difference is the volume today is so tremendously greater. It wasn't so long ago that orders were placed and filled in nothing less than spread of 1/8ths (fractions); if that did not constitute legal theft, I don't know what does.
great book, just finished it on my Kindle, a must read yet again from Lewis.
How can anyone not understand and not think this is important ? They have been reporting the co-location for a few years and the advantage of speed in the media, but till now no-one has reported the true impact and consequences.
well done Lewis, now lets watch nothing happen.....again....
