at the end of the 4Q.
I hope you enjoyed
my picks of 4Q : IUSA at $6 now $13,etc.
my earlier Message for my 1Q'00 picks;
you are a
great guys but are too obsessed with
the nice guys
from OMAHA who has lost his touch!
How do you kow that BRKa is going to drop?
the stars in the right position? It is just amazing
how much technical (verses fundamental) discussion
goes on at this message board. Especially when Buffett
is the king of value investing!
....a powerful way to end the year!!...and
congratulations to the long suffering longs among whom I still
number myself...[kept 10 shares for old times sake when
I sold]...........keep up the good work
Angry...Happy New Year to all.....the beat goes
I want to wish everyone a happy and prosperous
2000, and may you never see another 1999, unless you
have investable cash on hand.
Angry. This sure beats the hell out of trying to figure
out what to throw that last 2K at, eh?
sipping-my-bowl-of-Russian-Infantryman-Soup, glaring. :|
Everyone: You're making me
nervous - the excessive optimism is scaring the hell out
of me - that's usually when I sell!
Next Year, au revoir, mi amigos.
P.S. PBS has a
fairly interesting Y2000 show going on all day -
according to the announcer this morning, they are "coming
to you from MORE than 24 time zones". ;)
Two of my value stocks have been weak performers
recently (BRKB, FAF). But a EuroPacific fund (AEPGX) in a
retirement account (my largest holding) has gone up for 10
straight days since Dec. 15.
I wonder if Sony has
something to do with it. SNE is also up 10 straight days!.
I think Sony is potentially the strongest
competitor to MSFT on the desktop. Their game machines can
be used as web appliances. On the other hand, The
Linux software company valuations are a joke. These are
only small niche operations.
"We are all very lucky indeed to be surrounded by
these many brilliant gems of people."
mean me, of course, didn't you? You're a piece of
work, Prez. I reveal you for the phony you are (black
box, mystery techno-Godzilla), and you claim it was
all satirical. Wonderful try. You were trying to
sound "big, important," and you got caught at your
"funny game." How much of the rest of the horse manure
you've been spreading around is "satire"? Hmmm. ljh
Down 400 points every day starting in january.
Bottom out at 19200, at which point AOL makes a takeover
bid of 15000. Steve Case replaces WEB as fund
manager, and dumps Dairy Queen in favor of Ewine.com. You
heard it here first.
