So an old lady friend calls, she's a cocktail waitres on the strip, her air went out am I near her to give her a ride to work. I was at the Gold Coast a mile from her house so off I go to pick her up. So we are chatting about old times old relationships I know her 20 plus years etc she says, do you know why GOD gave women pubic hair ? I say why ? She says to hide the hook ! LMFAOOOOOOO, fellas who knew, WE, have been hooked ????? UNreeeeel.
YIKES wally, do the Sopranos get a piece of that too ? My new tax bill came yesterday on this house, 4500 yearly on 3200 sq feet, say 550k or so value. My old house was 10,200 tax or so on a 1.1 mil. I would rent in NJ.
Here's what is smoking me: property taxes. Semi-successful baby boomers are threatened by property taxes. NJ, NY, MA, RI, CT, PA & MD have property taxes that are killers. I own a modest home (1300sq.ft. on a 40x90 lot), property taxes are $18,000.00 per year. That's right 18k, like 1,500 per month. New Jersey's retirement and healthcare commitments to police, fireman, prison guards, teachers, municipal, county, authority and state workers are unfunded. All of us babyboomers are going to be forced to leave. I don't want to go, but I have to go. Income and sales tax aren't the issue if you're living on savings. But property taxes (up 7.5% this year) are like the tide coming in on a pirate buried to his neck in the sand. Nevada's unfunded commitments to its government worker's won't snowball into an unpayable sum for another 30 years. And then I won't care. There will be a migration out of high tax states. It has already started. Oh, and when we get to NV, we won't give one rotten rat's behind for teachers or the needs of the children. Just keep property taxes low.
