Higher management fee on SDY vs SPY

SDY is a 0.45% management fee and SPY is 0.09%. The yield is only slightly higher 3.22% vs. 1.98%. The gain in yield is partially offset by the increased management fee.

Any thoughts on the decision between these 2 funds is appreciated.

    • Good thinking. I've certainly looked at the SDY. Every broker is pushing it, but I own SPY and continue to buy it. Too many people are now desperately chasing dividends at the expense of growth. All told SPY has been the better performing ETF in recent years. Compare SDY v. SPY for the past 30 days. SPY wins easily.

I'm staying away from funds with "Dividend" in the name. Some border on fraudulent.
