the filed a shelf to be able to (potentially) offer more stock for sale... it is somewhat standard practice, but can #$%$ and iffect price (see recent action) - if they offer stock to raise money its dillutive. here the good news is that they would use the money to ostensibly generate more profit / exploration / etc. however, if they issue shares it gernally negatively impacts near term pps. i think it can be a anti-takeover move if i'm not mistaken.. however, in their call they indicated needing to tap resources for increased funding. i'd prefer debt to selling shares, but just my opinion.
Just saw a blip on that. Any links as it does not show up on their website? Maybe they plan another acquisition. This does not have to be in common stock. Just becasue a mixed use offering is filed does not mean it would be used. In a holding position until more details come out on this.
