30 month milestones
The Team has fully enrolled the 842 patients for its double blind phase III clinical trial and data analysis has begun. The phase II clinical trial of a three-drug combination therapy for patients with advanced pancreatic cancer has continued and, after 6 months follow up, the Team observes a partial response in 33% of the patients and stable disease in another 48% of the patients.
big i have tried to compare the results, but there are two obvious problems in doing so. can 6 months be compared to 30 month data, and the outcome measures are different. also, the triple study was started in 2010, so why just six months data?
as you know, we cannot post url's on yahoo now, but there were changes made to the triple trial on the clin trials gov website.
this shows changes that were posted in the last week. kimmel was changed from recruiting, to active, not recruiting. at kimmel one of the contact names was changed. also, t-gen (dr. von hoff) was changed from active, not recruiting, to completed. hope all is well.
I see this trial is to conclude in December 2012 with final data collection. Is it likely they are no longer recruiting because this stage of the trial is coming to an end and it doesn's make sense to recruit new participants as it will not be possible to measure their benefit?
