Sad to see a firm like MS circling the drain. I am tempted to buy some but alas I have no idea what it is worth. Some argue that mark-market accounting is evil but surely the alternative Enron style accounting now being advocated will not help anyone decide its a buy. And the possibility of a FED intervention (nationalization) over the weekend certainly does not help.
People need to see these fat cats die and decades of bonuses take back or they will keep their backs to the market. It's not just fear, its resentment towards corporate america and especially wall street. I know people who want to keep cash under the mattress - not because they are afraid but because they don't want the banks to have it, use it, and then pay themselves huge bonuses. I will use my money to short and the rest under the mattress or in a safe deposit too.
