Any thoughts on the Westport vs QTWW tanks Pros and Cons
I understand that Cummins only wants Westport for their NG injection system patent in the new LNG Westport/Cummins DOT/EPA approved engines. What I do not understand is why Cummins overlooks the safety features that QTWW tanks offer as well as the weight and capacity benefits. Any chance Cummins (a 29 billion dollar company) will buy Qtww?
Doubt it would be Cummins. More likely $QTWW to be bought by Luxfor or 3M or $WPRT or $CLNE. Or even back to $FSYS.
But know buyout till they off load the wind biz. Hearing they have a number in diligence on the 10MW zypher. It's just a matter of time...and with NG price rising... the value for the wind biz is growing every day.
We respected the gravestone doji on 3/8 and dropped all trading tranches (now just back to holding our l core) on the 3/8 & 3/9. Have yet to re-add trading on $QTWW, as allocated this amount to other NG plays which are moving. ($FSYS & $LNG). Still like $QTWW for a long term turn around, but getting paid more elsewhere.
I believe this company will not be acquired for a couple years but will thrive between now and the moment that takes place. They have much on their plate at the moment with the wind farms and solar. They provide an array of things beyond CNG tanks which we all know. This company would prove to be a major asset to any company that acquires it. But i doubt their will be any takeovers or mergers happening anytime soon. This sector needs more exposure and has alot of trials and tribulations to go threw before a company like qtww gets acquired they are still growing and you never know they could just stay solo for a good while.
I believe alot of companies will be willing to acquire QTWW in the future and im talking from car manufacturers to companies like Cummins. I believe their is a very large list of companies with qtww on their radar it would be a mistake not to considering the direction this country and the world is going to temporarily with NG
