I am long PBI, so I appreciate the bump. I just don't get it. Maybe shorts were disappointed that the numbers were not worse so they jumped ship. But declining and lower than expected revenue and lower forecasts is rarely good news. Finally, the forward P/E is now 10, which is about right for a no growth company. I like the dividend, and will hold on for a few days to see if there is a short squeeze, but then I will probably sell some out-of-the-money calls to generate a little extra cash. If the stock gets called, I will have gotten $18+/share - a fair price. If it goes down to $15, I will have pocketed some money and I keep the dividend.
An announcement was made that PBI's management services were being bought by another company for $400 million. However, the remaining part of the company is losing money. Some clarification is needed, no doubt!
