I'm too old to be listening to some of the foolish folks here, they make me tired. But Vertex did great today...so it's okay.
Here's hoping we see meandering hills of ups and downs until Vertex submits the first request for NDA for non-responders, perhaps the end of this year? I don't have any good info on EXACTLY when they will submit, but from the last conference call, sounds like soon!! So, have a good one and we'll see ya next week.
You too, let's have a great weekend. Lots of reasons to feel good.
It will be Thursday; if not then, only very
modest gains (less than 2%) and BIG drop on
the next day, Friday.
I say only modest gains because the broader market may be set for another leap forward tomorrow.....
Not so for VRTX.
How long you been trading biotech? Vertex is the best roller coaster ride on the market, guaranteed ups and downs in the stock price with a GUARANTEED pay off at the end of the ride.
So many colorful folks postin here over the years....some don't seem to understand the meaning of "speculative". Not for the faint of heart and especially not for the miseducated about Hep C and the blossoming PI market.
Telaprevir will be approved by FDA, this is a given. It adds a significant percent of "cures" to the patients taking it and does not kill anyone. It does this magic feat in half the time of SOC, with half the exposure time to interferon and ribavarin. Which is good for a body but must have Schering and Roche's panties in a real knot..(loss of revenue).
Personally, I'm laughing if you think you are predicting something that I didn't know already. Support and resistance was just moved up about 5 bucks from the good news...we'll flail around for a while, more good news will come out....and soon, the mother of all good news, approval for Telaprevir.
Of course, I have known all this all along. Hope is a very powerful tool.
You have to take what some of these negative posters say with a grain of salt.
Shorts would say anything and make up all types of stories about having been victims of bad products and/or services to bad-mouth a stock they have "shorted."
You new shorts don't understand the significance of the results released... be careful, read up on the science you are shorting. No comments on here (good or bad) will effect the price of the stock, I just don't think you know what you are shorting, this is major good news for VRTX, read this article if you have not.
