Gerald would not be travelling across country....especially after his travels to Finland last week.....unless he had something significant to address the attendees with. In addition, he MUST announce anything material in a PR prior to the meeting tomorrow. So, expect something significant either tomorrow morning pre-market....or after the market closes at 4:00pm.
I personally don't think anything big will be announced tomorrow. I bet it's a standard presentation. If we don't get any pr between now and the presentation tomorrow, you know that's what it will be and my guess is the stock price will take a hit. I never understand why people buy into a stock thinking something big is going to be presented at conferences. It never, ever happens in my experience.
Consider this. The cumulative effect of the various PR's and conferences is credibility for AMBS. It may be marginal or substantial, but he is at least in the room. If he is asleep or has no influence what is being said then eventually he will not be asked anymore. Agree, it is not much but that is how I see it. I agree though that mindless pumping is not helpful.
Bankerman: Gerald said he would release the BD validation results prior to the end of the 3rd Q. That gives him 3 weeks. It's not a given that he will announce those results to the Rodman Conference. He may be in negotiations with several companies right now regarding LymPro, and he may feel it's best to keep those results close to the vest for the time being. I'd be elated if he announced them tomorrow, but it's not a given.
riskreturn........I couldn't tell you what the announcement will be .........I just believe something is going to be discussed that would necessitate an announcement to the Shareholders first.
chrishscott........any announcement of a "material" matter.....such as a partnership, clinical results, etc. must be announced to the Shareholders first, before a general announcement is made to the public.
