when not if the Republicans retake the senate and house and with a Republican president in 2012...YOU will see ATT get the deal done with T-Mobile...FACT!! then ATTs stock will hit the roof.
But are they successful? Have they put many people back to work?
Yes and Yes. When Obama took office in January of 2009, we were shedding 600,000 jobs a month. A month. Now we are adding 100,000- 200,000 a month. When Obama took office our economy was shrinking at 9% per month.
We had our best period of job growth when Democrats held the House & the Senate. Then Republicans caused crisis after crisis.
The only measure where America is not improved compared to when Bush left office and Obama took over is the wishful thinking of anti-American tea partiers.
Done and funded? But are they successful? Have they put many people back to work? NO!
I don't weant to see Obama continue anything. Everything he does is either done half way or is not good for this country. Over 65% of the country believes we are headed the wrong way. What does that say for you fearless, weak, half harted leader?
It says he doen's deseve a second term. He can't run on his accomplishments, so he will run on personality...that's all he has and I don't care for it.
That's not an article about Obama's plan. That is an article about his governing style. Cardoza is coming from the left and is worried that Obama is not doing enough to overcome Republican opposition or win over the public.
Winholder claimed the administration had no plan. The fact is that Obama has had a plan since the campaign and he has worked to implement it and has largely been successful. Could he have done more? I'm sure he could have. Should he spend more time pandering to members of Congress so they feel better? If it helps. Should he do more to squash the Tea Party? Definitely.
Take a look at Poltifact's Obamameter:
You'll see a few of Obama's campaign promises listed as "broken" but the greater majority are fulfilled or "in the works". But look closer at the "broken" promises. Why are they "broken"? Why, for instance, hasn't Obama rolled back the Bush tax cuts, closed Guantanomo Bay, or implemented a Cap and Trade system? Due to Republican's blocking these programs.
So if Cardoza's suggestions about Obama's governing style help him to pass more of his plan and to get rid of the do-nothing but filibuster Republicans in Congress, I'm all for it. But to say he has no plan and has not implemented it within the confines of our system of governance is a complete load.
>>> Obama has a plan, he has been successful in implementing that plan (despite ardent obstructionism from Republicans) and that plan has been successful.
Here's an article that talks about Obama's plan. For the record, it was written by Rep. Dennis Cardoza (D-Calif.).
I have to say, I'm happy to discuss Obama's record. It is far better than the usual "he'a a Kenyan" "He's a socialist" "He's a failure" BS which is clearly not supported by reality.
Obama has a plan, he has been successful in implementing that plan (despite ardent obstructionism from Republicans) and that plan has been successful.
And yet another done or in the works.
Transitional jobs programs: funded.
Green Jobs Corps: Done.
Jobs Access and Revers Commute Program: Established.
Social Impact Bonds: In the President's 2012 budget--held up by Congressional Republicans.
Expand EITC for families and remove the marriage penalty: Done
If you want to see Obama continue to acheive his plan by increasing the minimum wage, I suggest supporting Obama and Democrats in the next election.
