ObamaCare causes Medical giant Stryker to cut 1,170 jobs

Medical supply giant Stryker is the latest company to announce job cuts in anticipation of coming costs associated with ObamaCare. The company will cut 1,170 jobs, or five percent of its worldwide workforce
A "medical device excise tax" included in the mandate imposes a 2.3 percent levy on medical device manufacturers and suppliers, which critics say will raise prices on everything from pacemakers to prosthetics to stents. Companies will be required to pay the tax regardless if they have a profit or loss for the year. The tax is estimated to cost the medical device industry $20 billion.

    • Wow, if these guys only realized, that by voting that Barry hold onto his job, they were ending theirs. I know one thing, people in Telco are having to pay for 10 to 25% of their previously free surgeries. Many workers are getting things done now, before their plans change for the worse. I can't think of anyone who is doing better under this regime, except maybe illegal aliens. I'm still shocked that only 16% of Seniors voted. I guess those Philadelphia black panthers were successful in frightening the older Conservative voters. People who are ill-informed are forcing pain to us all, via the ballot box.

      Sentiment: Strong Sell

    • The Obamacare fiasco is just beginning.

    • CEO and many workers were huge BO supporters couldn't happen to a better group. Just getting warmed up many more layoffs to come.
