I look at T as a safe secure investment that pays a handsome dividend. It is almost like a CD with little to no risk. My dividends are re-invested. Out of my whole portfolio I lose no sleep with T. But it is balanced T is not overweight in my investment strategy.
True statement, but kind of wasting your time with it on a Yahoo board. The sad thing was there was a time when these boards actually were a useful place for conversation about a particular stock, now it's pretty much morons sounding off from their mothers basements and paid shills.
Testman,I wish I could disagree with you about the morons spewing diatribes on many boards.Obviously one should not be getting their investment info from a yahoo board, however in the past, i did find many folks who posted were very knowledgeable and often helpful,Nowadays it's a gaggle of malcontent, juveniles who in many cases cannot spell nor articulate in an intelligent manner.
Too bad, like so many other things in the US today, we're not going in the right direction.
Have a good day
I'm a little heavy on T and several other comm. shares. I have three mutual funds. One that has lagged for some time has suddenly taken off by about 13% this first half. I'll not sell any T and continue to DRIP all my accounts.
