I think IPGP will beat on both the top and bottom lines this quarter. The current analyst consensus of $.66/share seems low to me - I wouldn't be surprised to see $.70/share or higher.
Another thing to keep in mind is the great use of cash to buy out their Russian partner. They paid only $55 million to add an annual $.07/share to future earnings. That is very smart considering some competitors have paid 3 times that amount for acquisitions that haven't produced similar results.
From their 6/29/12 press release: "The net income attributed to Rusnano's non-controlling interest in NTO had resulted in a reduction to IPG Photonics’ earnings of $0.07 per diluted share in 2011 and $0.01 per diluted share in the first quarter of 2012."
