    Netlist v. Inphi

    March 29, 2010, 8:29 p.m

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Google Inc. disclosed Monday that it has acquired assets from a shuttered semiconductor company

...According to public records, several U.S. patents originally filed by metaRAM have since been assigned to Google. For example, a metaRAM patent for technology related to a "multiple-component memory interface system" was assigned to Google in September

Netlist, Inc. (NASDAQ:NLST) jumped 17.41% up to $4.45 on news the company has settled a patent infringement lawsuit which named MetaRAM as the defendant. The terms of the settlement require that MetaRAM will not sell, offer to sell, release, or commercialize the MetaRAM DDR3 controllers in the US or outside the U.S. Netlist argued that MetaRAM’s DDR3 controllers and memory modules incorporating these controllers infringed on its US Patent No. 7,289,386, “Memory Module Decoder.”
