The Walt Disney Company Message Board

DIS must right the wrong and STOP THE HATE.

when DIS, the parent company of ESPN which propagated hate messages directed at the chinese basketball player Jeromy Lin, we thought the anchor would be fired pronto for racial slur. No company would tolerate racists but DIS does. Instead, he's suspended for thirty days. Why is it DIS keeping, if not planting, an anchor of HATE?

Isn't it violating the DIS's convenants of your "good corporate citizen" and the corporate "human rights" that you proudly presented in your website?

In this case, mouthfoaming is one thing, delivering it is quite another.

RIGHT THE WRONG DIS and STOP THE HATE by your far reaching broadcasting media.

    • Stop the Linsanity!

    • Too many are attacking this issue as a message of hate where it was more likely a message of ignorance.

While there is certainly hate out there, in this case, just as in many other cases, a possibly ignorant remark (he probably thought it was a clever play on words), while still being wrong, was pushed way beyond just being a poor choice of words into a hate rant.

people who over react at certain issues (political, religious, race, etc.) cause more problems than they think they are solving.

      • I agree. This is being blown way out of porportion. To just slam the guy and cut off both his legs, your nuts. The saying doesn't meet the punishment your demanding. T his wasn't a hate message and I don't if you know the difference.Where is the area of forgiveness and letting the person redeam himself. I have learned in life you have got to have a sense of humor and be able to forgive. If you fire someone for every thing you say nobody would be working. Everyone has slipped of the tongue sometime in their life.
