Don't outsmart yourself. Disney is one of those companies that you can truly hold virtually forever. It's best to think of the stock as a long term savings vehicle for your children or grandchildren. The company has not even begun to tap the potential of their LucasFilm acquisition and the Marvel division is a pure goldmine. Unless something overly negative changes with the company at a fundamental level there is no reason to sell your shares.
I have held disney a loong time. I thought it was maxed out a year ago at 65 but held anyways/ You never know how something will go when you sell. I think the biggest mistake people make is selling for a profit. If you have a good stock, hold on to it. Don't listen to the experts, they have quarterly reports to meet, they need to show gains. We don't.
Disney is the undisputed entertainment leader of the world. They are trading at 19X 2015 EPS.
I hardly think we are overvalued at $90.
Amazon and Facebook with similar market caps are overvalued.
Yeah....I'm SURE Disney insiders will want to unload their stock before those awful Avengers and Star Wars movie come out next year. They'll be lucky to gross 50 cents. I agree the stock will pull back into the $80s before going much higher, but to think insider trading will play any part in that move is ridiculous..
