DETROIT LIONS PERFORMANCE WILL MATCH GM PERFORMANCE!
OK all you Detroit and GM bashers listen up! It is my observation that the performance of the NFL Detroit Lions pretty well matches the performance of GM. When GM declared bankruptcy the Lions (MY Lions) went 0-16 (OUCH!!). When GM started out of bankruptcy the Lions went 2-14. Now with GM breaking out my Lions are also breaking out (6-10 this year but ending with a 4 game winning streak).
My prediction: 2011: GM stock hits 50 and the Lions make the playoffs! 2013: GM Stock hits 100 and the Lions are in the NFC championships! No Super Bowl predictions but the rest you can take to the bank.
The Lions are better--not that there is any connection between the Lions and GM's fortunes.
For the time being, while playing in the same division with the Bears and Packers, it will be pretty tough to make the playoffs. The Vikings might land a quarterback which won't make things easier. Maybe they could transfer to the NFC West and play the Seahawks and Cardinals. Then they might have a chance.
The Lions improvement might be only temporary. They haven't played real football in 55 years.
