Pounding the table on techs tonight, even sneaked in STX, WDC, SNDK- 3 stocks he have been screaming "sell" the last few weeks. What a maniac. So typical Crapmer, ROFLMAO!
So just turn off the TV or use it as a tool for learning. Guess maybe you learned nobody is infallible especially when you have a lot of folks listening to your advice. So if you feel like Cramer more often than not makes the wrong call, well you learned something there, do the opposite. Or you could do your own research. Just saying.
If he were being honest with his viewers, he would clearly state that his investment recommendations have a two trading day limit which is the maximum period in which his recommendation may in fact motivate his viewers to act accordingly thereby fulfilling the self-fulfilling prophecy. After that limited two day period, all bets are off and he reserves the right to completely change his mind (and frequently does) for a new self-fulfilling recommendation. He can then capture that two day trading information in every case and look viewers in the face and say that he has some absurdly high accuracy rate. The game is so completely foolproof and meaningless at the same time and he must be viewed in the real financial industry, where people are required to take longer term risks and can lose their jobs if they're wrong, as a pompous fool. Sadly, because we live in a time of celebrity and some find his shtick entertaining, he is given the platform to take advantage of the gullible.
you have just posted the perfect description of Cramer. I loved the two day validity you suggested. Perfect. I go sucked in a couple of years ago by Cramer and bought AVNX. It has subsequently been sold and is now OCLR but I am still down by 70%.
