ASTI receives notice from SEC about possible delisting but it's encouraging...
We have until June 3rd to get the stock back above $1 for 10 consecutive days to regain listing status. If you read further they may be able to gain an extension:
If the Company does not regain compliance by June 3, 2013, the Company may be eligible for an additional grace period if it applies to transfer the listing of its common stock to the Nasdaq Capital Market. To qualify, the Company would be required to meet the continued listing requirement for market value of publicly held shares and all other initial listing standards for the Nasdaq Capital Market, with the exception of the minimum bid price requirement, and provide written notice of its intention to cure the minimum bid price deficiency during the second compliance period by effecting a reverse stock split if necessary. If the Nasdaq staff determines that the Company will not be able to cure the deficiency, or if the Company is otherwise not eligible for such additional compliance period, Nasdaq will provide notice that the Company's common stock will be subject to delisting. The Company would have the right to appeal a determination to delist its common stock, and the common stock would remain listed on the Nasdaq Global Market until the completion of the appeal process.
You better hope they don't do a reverse split. I've been through that more than once and it usually is not good for the share holders. You stand a greater chance to lose even more of your money if you gamble and hold through the split. More times than not the pps will fall right back down to the same level it was at before the split. I will bail out before they impliment a split.
In the absense of actual revenue from their products they will have little choice but to reverse split and it may well not be 1 new for 2 old since they ballooned the outstanding shares so many times and low balled their shareholders with the last dilution below the then current pps. They did not show much faith in "their" company with that move. I would say they lost credibility in the marketplace but that would assume they ever had much.
