Dividend was 0.091 In December 2007
It's now less than half that.
Will it face further cuts ?
Wish I knew.
I've accumulated about 1,700.00 shares over the last 2.4 years.
I'm ahead a couple hundred bucks. Considering taking future dividends in cash, as I, like others here think that the payout ratio is unsustainable.
This December will be 10 years of consecutive monthly dividends. Over 90% of the shareholders are the same long term holders. Those folks are doubling and tripling their money over the 10 years. Not hockey stick high returns in good times and drops when the market crashes. Consistency is the motto here.
Absolutely not true statement. The dividend has never been cut. What you are referring to was at that time there was a "stapled unit" which was a common share and a high yield bond. Those were two separate securities and the company called the bond at maturity and thus the interest portion of the note ended as the notes were retired.
