    Anyone good at valuing calls?

I just purchased 20 of the 40's for 2010 and 5 of the 15's for 2010. Put them up on the shelve and forget about them. I wouldn't buy anything near term here and expect to lose my entire investment.

On the other hand I made friggen bank on my FCX calls I bought two days ago on the big pull back. No BS I made almost 50k on the 70's and 75's I bought and sold into todays strength.

    • snappy trade....made me look (at the 2010's and FCX)....hmmmm,

You must have had a fair sized bet on the 70/5's....right ?

I think the premiums are way to high to buy either calls or puts also....gambling without the advantage of no taxes.

      • I had a very big placement in FCXand also still have 2k shares of the stock.

I just bought 5k shares of SKF and sold the 115's for next friday for 5.5 each, easy money. SKF is at a NT low and there is no way this rally is holding. Wait for the HELOC mess to hit the market. We haven't seen anything near the the real low yet. That's why I am playing a lot of 2010 contracts on the call side and 2-8 months out...all puts.
