Interesting article: People are paying up to $40 for a doughnut in Manhattan because only 250 are made per day. It's not just because they taste good, it's a status symbol too (like shopping at Whole Foods).
Whole Foods should market limited-edition foods to Yuppies who have way more money than common sense. This would greatly increase the margins in their already successful prepared foods sector.
you know people who shop at whole foods because they think it is a status symbol ? Do they drape the bags over their car antennas so others know they shop there ? Or do they wear T shirts that say...I shop at whole foods (or maybe bumper stickers ?)
My parents shop at whole foods, they are retired on a fixed pension income.
My girl friend shops there...she makes a whopping 40 K per year, which I tell her is way to much money, and she should order some Cronuts from Manhattan to help with the cash burn rate.
Stubble ... just keeps posts his BS ... now he KNOWS why people shop at whole foods!!! The guy is a mind reader ... He tries to come off as the voice of reason ... and yet really he is the voice of propaganda! Why don't you tell us who you do work for? Perhaps you get paid for your mind reading abilities! LOL
keep up the BS!
three cheers for your girlfriend ... she spends her money wisely .... perhaps one day she will wise up and get a real man!
