Hey Mikey our Hopeless Cut and Paste Moron, you forgot some things.
1. You might want to check out an article this month in InfoWorld titled:
"Test your SSDs or risk massive data loss, researchers warn"
BTW, the researchers were from Ohio University and HP labs.
2. A report out of UCSD stating that:
Speaking to about 500 attendees at the 10th Usenix Conference on File and Storage Technologies one year ago, Laura Grupp, a graduate student at the University of California, San Diego, said that as NAND flash densities increase, so do issues such as read and write latency and data errors.
While the density of SSDs grows and the cost per gigabyte shrinks, "everything else about them is poised to get worse," Grupp said.
3. Why have the share prices of the SSD firms (OCZ, STEC, FIO) far under performed the share prices of the hard drive companies?
