Finally we have a rally in the works. I mean, you can only stretch the rubber band so much. At some point it is going to snap back. Go baby, go! Don't look back! Go, go, go!
Gariver911 :-) Good luck to all of you!
Buying CDs... If you liked SecondSpin.com, you will also like TowerRecords.com! Tower sells "used CDs" that come from their record-stores's play-stations! These CDs are more expensive than SecondSpin's, but the selection is better. Prices? $5 to $9!
Superb sounds... Right now, I'm playing Tito Puente's Golden Latin Jazz All Stars--In Session (Tower: $6). If you want only one Latin Jazz CD, this it! Recorded at NYC's Hit Factory, the CD's sounds and performance are both 1st class! I'm listening with Sony's MDR-7909 Pro-Studio Headphones, and it sounds fantastic! Sony's diamond diaphragms do a superb job keeping up with the fast latin-beat! BTW, Tito Puente recorded more records than anybody else (Guiness World Record)! At Amazon, for example, there's 100 CDs by Tito! If you count out-of-print, he recorded close to 200 records in 78s, 45s, 33LPs and CDs! Amazing! Right now, Mr Latin Jazz is "jazzin" in Heaven! RIP is not for Tito!
Another one day wonder. My portfolio as a whole was up about 14% today, still doesn't come close to erasing losses over last two weeks. There was an analysis in the WSJ after the early January burst that showed that the largest one day advances all occurred in bear markets. Maybe some of you saw it, don't have a link handy. Guess it means we are still in the bear's grip.
On the SI home page, there is a "Cool Posts" link to a message discussing irrational exuberence of the bears (predictions of single digit stock prices for quality companies, rumor of LU backruptcy, etc.). It's entertaining reading, just hope it truly is irrational.
