Broker I use says news was not the conference but a major purchase in the Utica that suggests acreage EVEP holds is worth $8500 to $10,000 per acre. He believes stock could be worth somewhere in the $60's. I would be thrilled to see $50 again at this point. But the stock is moving sharply higher on better volume today.
I'd say it's a dogs of the Alerian play. The whole sector has been hit hard. All things being equal, the best bounce comes from those hit the hardest. I highly doubt anything EVEP centric is causing the rally. There is no chance at bankruptcy and very little chance of a distribution cut. Secondary, possibly, but they have options long before cutting the distribution. We are closer to the bottom than the top.
