Almost all posts on this topic agree how ridiculous it is for our Gov't officials not to get this bill passed. I agree whole heartily.
In the same breath these same officials will say how they are for more jobs. I say get your heads out of your backside and join the real world. This bill would jump start the building of 1.5 million Natgas powered trucks a year. It would also speed up the building of an infrastructure across the entire United States. Just in the manufacture of these truck we would see a boom in hiring, not to mention the infrastructure build out. How many additional jobs would that be?
Now if that doesn't do it for ya. Add in all the pickups , utility vehicles, and construction equipment and we'll have a booming economy on our hands.
Of course Cantor, Obama, secretary Chu,and others just have no business savvy / knowledge.
Obummer is a socialist and wants to become the dictator of the USA--Obummer has appointed non-business people in his administration "Of course Cantor, Obama, secretary Chu,and others just have no business savvy / knowledge."....What a bunch of teachers and Professors (if you can't run with the bulls you teach!!~)...We don't need the gov-ment, private enterprise can do it on its own without hand outs--just get out of the way and let us roll!!!
I have never seen any endorsement of the nat gas act from the Democrat leadership of the House either. Pelosi, Waxman, Markey, Hoyer et all are not only not on the list of HR 1380 sponsors, but they rammed through a bill in the House in the 2009 Congress that attacked natural gas as a greenhouse gas polluter.
While the smaller truck companies may need a tax credit to convert the big guys are already pushing ahead full steam. The real driver remains the facilitation of refueling. This announcement by Chesapeake, which is the second-largest gas producer in the US, and GE, which has been investing in technology for gas production and transport, underscores their shared interest in increasing demand.
Again, just like in 2008, the gov-Enron-ment doesn't want you to be anything but a slave. This is tyranny. Why wouldn't people vote for nat gas vehicles and more options for consumers?
Same crooks and corruption today as in 2008.
Well, without things to get nat gas vehicles here and now, get ready for the gas bubble to burst.
There are complete idiots on both sides of the aisle. Cantor who doesn't want to use it here and Markey who doesn't want to export it. With legislators like this, we'll have to burn it off because there is no place to store it. We need to give both of these clowns a wakeup call.
