With such low payout ratio why doesn't V raise dividend?
Anybody ever contact investor relations to see why Visa doesn't raise the dividend? At a payout ratio of around 15% it is extremely low and they could afford to double or triple it and still be fine. They have plenty of cash and no debt. Does not make sense.
They will earn over 6 bucks this year and payout just 88 cents.
they have been spending billions on stock buy backs. The float shares use to be over 739 million. it is now about 668 million and they continue to buy back shares. this program makes it easy for them to make their numbers and drive up the value of a share.
