Terrible, terrible press release. Whining. Mentions inaccuracies but doesn't correct them - shameful.
Any serious bidder (or bidders) for OFI have all the information they need to make an informed decision. Based on the tone of the response, it looks like Rudis is using the letter as cover for a bad/weak deal.
In my opinion, no response would have been better than what was released. Amateur hour.
Someone willing to pick up everyone else's running tab perhaps? Seriously, I thought the wording was curious. I got the sense of more than one participant involved. The co. should pay heed to its shareholders, though. I kinda doubt that the letter went out as a solitary threat from a1.5% shareholder--could easily be advance notice on behalf of much larger parties, too.
