Not enough bandwidth for all of SIRI content? Or, not enough to even offer limited content that could be selected by the user.....say 20-30 channels that could be individually user-defined?
Tough for me to comment on an article I can't read all of... besides, it looks like a good and interesting patent; I just spent some time reading through. There really isn't much to say.
It's a good patent that can be used by a provider with the infrustructure and enough bandwidth to do it... unfortunately, it may be a little difficult for it to be used by Sirius or XM. And I'm not bashing! From a technical standpoint, there isn't enough bandwidth. However, DBSD (recently bought by DISH) would be a good application of this patent... however, they'd need to make some changes in their licensing, I believe... maybe not.
Perhaps Sirius will develop this kind of thing to enhance services even further.
Did you know SIRIUS and XM sats CAN Identify your radio? Is this a 2 way communication?
