I just read the transcript of the conference call, and my take is that these guys would rather die than cut their dividends. They concede that real estate will remain rocky for the near term, especially in the U.K., but the fund is well-positioned to take advantage of opportunities as they arise. I'd urge everyone to read the transcript. It's not overly technical and you'll feel good about the prudent approach that management is taking, not only with AWP, but also AGD and AOD.
I am interested in AWP because I like Global RE funds with good dividends for investment. Can you tell me how to access the transcript of the conference call you referred to? And when do you expect a "bottom" on the NAV deterioration? Thanks for any help.
Glad they came out with the statement today. It is truly amazing how many people chuck everything when things turn south in the market. I actually bought more a few weeks ago and was going to buy more if it kept falling. In this day and age, "long-term investing" for most so-called investors is about 1 week I guess. Sad
