    Why Close stores?

Seems revenues and same store sales are up (3%).
Seems they should be very slow in closing any stores.

    • There is one very close to home for me and I stopped in roughly a month ago for one item - belt holster for cell phone. They had 1 that fit my phone and wanted about $23 - crazy I thought for a piece of plastic especially after I waited about 10 minutes while the only girl working then chatted with her male friend... Did not buy there & ended up picking it up at one of the vendors that sit freestanding in middle of mall for about $10.

Did you end up just going to Best Buy ?

    • From my observation the stores located in shopping malls have customers. The stores on the neighborhood street level are empty.

      • Actually, most of the mall locations have much higher overhead costs per sq ft. While some malls have healthy traffic, count the actual "bags" that come out. Lots of looking, not only in RS, but most other mall stores as well, but little actual buying. US shoppers are much smarter, and prefer outparcel "big-box" locations that can offer better prices along with somewhat decent service. These are the locations between mall and neighborhood, where RS needs to locate.
