Enzon Pharmaceuticals Inc. Message Board

The body of an email I sent yesterday to Liz McDonald and Charlie Gasparino at Fox Biz

Liz, in the 4th quarter last year you did a great service to income hungry investors as you ran with several stories about companies issuing special dividends to beat the tax change. Charlie is included here since he is the bulldog on these kinds of deals explained below. We could use some help

One of these was Enzon (ENZN) Pharmaceuticals which was issuing a $2 dividend in December. Among others, I bought this one and made, for me, a significant investment. The dividend was paid and the stock dropped, of course. But as retail investors looked at public announcements by the company, public filings and the major holders (Icahn, Klarman, BlackRock etc.) we became convinced that bigger things were in store for investors who held on to ENZN.

Over recent months many disturbing things have happened and announcements made. The stock has dropped into the low $3's and retail investors have purchased more based on analysis of the public filings and pronouncements and the big investors. The latest news and manipulation by the powers within ENZN are indicating some strange restructuring and selling off of assets at bargain prices to companies created in the past 2 months etc. There seems to be manipulation of valuable assets going on from some very big investing names like Icahn and Klarman among others. I find that surprising given the public persona of these big investors. The Yahoo message board for ENZN contains lots of factual information from posters who have dug deeply into what has been happening. Virtually everyone believes there are some very questionable things being done.

I urge you to look into what is happening and report on it. It seems that once again the retail investors are getting trampled by the big guns.

    Sentiment: Hold
